At the beginning of 2003, Resurgens Foundation, along with Fulton County Parks and Recreation, and local civic groups from Sandy Springs started the planning process of building an "all accessible" ADA playground in Hammond Park which would enable children with disabilities the chance to play along side their friends and siblings.
On the first weekend in May, Resurgens employees and physicians helped construct the playground, and on May 31st, had a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the occasion. We invite you to take your family by the park, have a picnic and enjoy the new play facilities.
Dr. Kay Kirkpatrick and the Resurgens Charitable Foundation were honored by Fulton County Parks and Recreation with a Community Service Award for their financial support and leadership for the Hammond Park Playground Project.
